Full Description:
Isaac Goodman [formerly] of Newport, Rhode Island to Carleton. New York. Petition. His services in gaining intelligence for which he was condemned to death but after a long and cruel imprisonment was able to escape. Has been allowed half a dollar a day. Hopes 12 months' advance will enable him, as other Loyalists have been permitted to do, to move with his family to some place under British rule. With a certificate signed by Brigadier-General Bruce, General Lossberg, Major de Wurmb and Lieutenant-General Charles Bose.
