Full Description:
Carleton to Poyntz. New York. Warrant to pay Captain William Johnson, Paymaster to the New York Volunteers the sum of £851 8s 2d sterling. Being pay for the said volunteers from 25 December 1782 to 23 February 1783, both days included as per the annexed account. From which the sum of £27 6s 5d sterling to be detained being the stoppage from the commissioned officers. Also £88 10s sterling for 8,496 rations of provisions issued and £12 17s 8d sterling due to the hospital at New York.
