Full Description:
Carleton to Poyntz. New York. Warrant to pay Lieutenant John Bayliss, paymaster to a detachment of 63rd Regiment of Foot the sum of £147, 5s sterling. Being subsistence for the Grenadier Company and a detachment of the said regiment from 24 February to 24 April 1783, both days included as per the annexed account. From which the sum of £45 15s 5d sterling is to be detained for 4,394 rations of provisions issued and £6 6s 4d sterling due to the hospital at New York.
