Full Description:
Thomas Crowell, William Hervey, Patrick Rudd and John MacKenzie, Occupants of Vestry Houses to Carleton. New York. Memorial. Are fearful of future suits from the rulers of New York State. They are refugees, claim Britain's protection and are unable to 'quit' the State. Beg his interest with the legislative body of this State, not only for the repeal of the Act passed at Esopus 17 March, but for the security of their persons and properties against future claims for rents of supposed trespasses. Signed by Crowel, Hervey, Rudd and MacKenzie and on behalf of those met at Roubalet's Tavern this day.
