Full Description:
General Washington to Carleton. Orangetown, [New York]. Discussion on past correspondence which includes a copy of a resolution of Congress of 'the 15th' instructing on three points which appear necessary for carrying into the terms of a treaty between Great Britain and the United States of America. Relative to the release of prisoners, receiving possession of the posts in occupation, and to the carrying away of the 'negroes' and other property belonging to the American inhabitants.
