Brigadier-General Alured to Carleton. Philadelphia. Sends copies of letters which have passed between General Lincoln and himself relative to some Hessian prisoners supposed to be detained at Mount Hope, New Jersey against their inclination. When the matter has been enquired into, he will inform what further steps are to be taken concerning them.
