Full Description:
Assitant Commissary-General Gregory Townsend. New York. Received from Townsend sundry vouchers for provisions issued to the 17th Regiment of Infantry between 25 April and 24 June 1783 inclusive. 144 rations full allowance at three pence each ration on board, and 15,482 rations on shore at two half penny each ration. Totalling £162 13s 11d sterling. Signed by Paymaster W. Scott and examined by Assistant Commissary Samuel Paine.
