Full Description:
Colonel Archibald Hamilton to Carleton. New York. Has been told that an execution is to be issued against him on account of the money he received for the militia garrison at Clinton Redoubt. Begs Carleton to avert the affront. Has given in the expenditure of the chief part of the money upon honour and has served six years as Colonel of Militia without pay, bat or forage money. Has letters of approval from General Vaughan, General Tryon and others. Entreats him to interpose and relieve him.
