Description:
VLF 112 is a 10th-c. parchment codex, its leaves measuring 280 x 215 mm. It is constructed of 11 quires of mostly 4 bifolia, totalling 84 leaves (168 pages). Only a few quire signatures in Roman numerals are remnant. The quires were numbered again at an uncertain later date. Several leaves show serious damage. Written space covers (ff. 1-8, 57-60) 180 x 140 mm, divided into 2 columns of 30 lines / (ff. 9-56, 61-84) 190 x 140/145 mm, divided into 2 columns of 32 lines in hard point ruling. The lower margin of f. 28r contains the beginning of 2 epistles, written in a 13th-c. hand. The text is written in Minuscula carolina. Initials are in dark ink. The codex has a 19th-c. cardboard binding, protected by multi-coloured paper. The corners and the spine are in parchment.
