Full Description:
Richard Hill to Carleton. New York. Memorial. He is one of the inspectors of the Brooklyn Ferry. He has been persecuted, proscribed, banished and his property confiscated. Also mentions his services in the garrison and that he has relatives to support on only 10s a day. Is intending to go to Nova Scotia with thirty-three Loyalists who have chosen him as their captain. Requests a warrant for pay now due and that his affairs be taken into consideration. Refers to the certificates enclosed [Calendar notes that they are not now here].
